Do you know what a pom pom rug is? We adore them because they are unique, entertaining, and completely customizable. You’ll only need string, pom poms, and glue to build one… it’s that simple!

Step By Step:
1. Prepare The Base of Your Pom Pom Rug
This is a fairly simple project: all you have to do is make a rope base for the rug and place all the pom poms on it.
To make the base, take your rope and wrap it in a spiral and on itself, putting adhesive to all of the rope joints until you have a round and compact base. Cut the rope and glue the base together once you’ve attained the necessary measurements.
2. Glue The Pom Poms
The second and final step! Now is the time to glue your pom poms on the string base. Make your rug as unique as you want it to be. We decided on a design that was a little “chaotic” and multicolored, with various sized pom poms. How would you go about doing it? You may do whatever you like with the pompoms and their colors: write messages, form shapes, draw… use the rope as a canvas.
Apply a small amount of glue to each pom pom. Then, one by one, arrange them on the base according to your design until it is entirely covered.
Remember to follow the recommendations provided by the glue’s manufacturer for proper bonding. You must push the union for a few seconds with the adhesive, and you have 10 seconds to correct any mistakes.
