On this occasion, I will share a fountain model made with flower pots in a few steps. Read the instructions carefully, get all the materials and dare to innovate your spaces.

Materials:

  • 35.6 cm (14 “) clay saucer
  • 7 “(17.8 cm) clay saucer
  • 6 “(15.2 cm) clay saucer
  • Three 4 “(10 cm) clay saucers
  • 10 cm (4 “) and 15.2 cm (6”) flower pots
  • A fountain pump
  • 1/2 “(1.2 cm) rubber tubing
  • Silicone sealant
  • Clear Aerosol Sealer
  • Round file
  • Drill with a masonry bit

Procedure:

  • Spray the inside of the 14 “(35.6 cm) saucer with the sealer spray. Apply three coats total and allow to dry between applications.
  • Drill and file the pots and saucers. Soak the rest of the pots and saucers to make shaping and drilling easy.
  • Drill a 1/2 “(1.2 cm) hole for the rubber tube into the 7” (17.8 cm) pan. Use a wooden block underneath for support.
  • File four notches on the edges of the 6 “(15.2 cm) pot and one on the 4” (10 cm) saucers.
  • File large downward angled notches on 7 “and 6” cymbals and one notch on 4 “cymbals
  • Assemble the central fountain. Place the pump on the 14 “(35.6 cm) saucer, attach the rubber tubing to it, and then feed it through the hole in the bottom of the 6” (15.2 cm) pot (the pot must be upside down).
  • It would be best to position the planter so that the pump cord goes through one of the notches on the edge of the planter.
  • Place the 7 “(17.8 cm) saucer on top, facing up.
  • Cut the excess off the tube, leaving about 1.2 cm 1/2 “, and seal the edges around the pipe with silicone.
  • Assemble the rest of the fountain. Place the 4 “(10 cm) pot upside down and place the 6” (15.2 cm) saucer on top and the 4 “(10 cm) with the edge on the other saucer without cuts.
  • Arrange the saucers and pots so that the water pours between them.
  • Place the 4 “(10 cm) saucer with the notches upside down so that it covers the hole with the tube.

The water has to flow up from the bottom to the 17.8 cm (7 “) pan, then the 15.2 cm (6”), then the 10 cm (4 “), and finally the 35, 6 cm (14 “) for the process to start over.
